Question zelda: majora mask problem

hi everyone, i got problem with my majora mask. i used Project64 1.5 emulator with following specs:

-Jabo Direct3D6 1.5
-Jabo DirectSound 1.5
-N-Rage Direct-Input8 V2 1.82

After I went into Termina Field for a while (for the first time), the screen went black, and although there was sound background, it was jerky.

any solution??? or any emulator that works better than PJ64 for this game?

Maybe your rom is not a good dump. Check if you have a good rom with GoodN64.

Are you sure it wasn't as day turning into night or night turning in to day in the game? There's a problem w/ rendering those effects and the symptoms are exactly as you've described. Just wait a minute and the game should return to normal.

The ROM fixing utility on this page may help.
Otherwise you'll probably need a new ROM.

The patching utility may work. It fixed Yoshi's Story for me.

Fixed yoshi's story for me too, also fixed a bunch of other bad roms that I had:
1080 Snowboarding, and Banjo-Kazooie.

Question: Why do the cutscenes run black in Zelda:MM? Is the reason known and if so is it possible that there might be a fix in the future?

cutscenes run black? I never had that problem... the only problem I had with that game origionally was that the cutscene boarders were unalligned 'till 1.5 came out.

For n64? Everything was default, I really didn't mess with anything but controller settings for my Gravis Gamepad Pro and the resolution of the emulator. When I had the unalligned black boarders (actually, the entire game was pretty much down south a few inches, heh heh), I had to use... hmmm... 1.3 I think was the version that had MM pretty good, then 1.4 messed it up, then 1.5 fixed it again. Definately weird stuff. Unfortunately, I accidentally deleted my n64 folder (with it's roms) a few weeks ago, so I can't take any screenshots right now, but my friend's coming back for a week for spring break, so hopefully I'll get everything back from him when we network on Thursday.

Actually, that's a good idea... if I had a problem with any roms, I just went back a version or two to test to see if it, was at any point, fixed. Try previous versions.
