P64 freezes every 5 seconds????

Hey there, no matter what game I play. The emulator freezes for 1 second every 5 seconds. It usually doesnt happen until a minute into a game. Could you tell me whats up with it?

Setup:
WinXP
Athlon XP 2000+
256mb pc-2700
GF264mb
No virus proggy running(nothing running in backround)

P64 ver. 1.5
Jabo's Direct3D6 1.5(tried others)
Azimers 0.30 Rev. 2.2(also tried others)
Def's Direct Input 0.54

Well that did fix the freezing problem. But now one of my favorite games(Fighting Force) is upside down! Do you know how to go about fixing that problem now?
