Question [f1] Yoshi's Story ROM question

I have a Yoshi's Story ROM image
(it is the 'Yoshi's Story crazy nation [f1]' image)
and GoodN64 recgnizes it as such. However, it does not work with PJ or 1964, I get a error message saying 'There has been an error and this application has to close'

I have tried this with all the plugins that I have (which is most of them) and there is no diference when using any of them (why would there be ).

The [f1] tag that GoodN64 gives this image means that it is a 'fixed' ROM, does this mean that I need to patch or alter it in some way?

If so where can I get the utility (or how can I do it myself) to fix this?

The [f1] means that the rom has already been patched or altered, ostensibly to increase compatibility (i.e. to remove copy protection). I'm not sure if these types of roms can have the "fix" removed, so you'll probably need to download a good [!] copy.

You don't need to download the rom again. There's a patch that removes the fix and makes the rom a good dump (identified with [!]). You can find the ips patch in "Paulob's Bad2Good Patches", that can be downloaded here.

Interesting. I had always thought those patches were for bad [b] roms only, but I see they cover fixed, overdumped, and hacked roms as well. Good to know.

Indeed, it does have different fixes. But what's interesting is that even applying the [o1] patch for Goldeneye, it did not fix the overdump. The rom was still overdumped, and nothing changed when I checked it with GoodN64 again. I fixed the overdump manually (with a hex editor), and it worked fine (Good recognized it as a good rom).
