Question Freaky Mario 64 graphics

Mario 64 has weird problems with the 2D stuff using the newest Jabo D3D plugin. And since Jabo's D3D plugin came from PJ64, I thought I should post here even though I don't use PJ64. Here's a shot of my problem. I use a Intel video card.

Intel video card are outdated and are not porbably support4ed by any N64 emulator due to its poor preformance. you should at least have a Nvidia TNT card or equivilant to emulate N64 games. Anyways, can you post a screenshot so we can see for ourselves?

The link doesn't work, it's pointing to a path inside your machine.

I'm pretty sure his Intel is faster than a TNT1 card. Anyway, the real problem is that Jabo's plugins are very picky on video cards, AFAIK they'll only run without glitches on GeForces and Radeons. I recommend you to try using Glide64 + eVoodoo, see if it works better with your video card.

I've tried Jabo's D3D on all emulators and get the same results. The game runs on 1964 at a FPS around 50-60. I've tried the Glide64 with the eVoodo and it made so many flashing polygons I thought my eyes would fall out.

When I try the normal blend option in Jabo's D3D, everything is perfect (and I'm so happy)... Then I notice the floor isn't being rendered anymore and it's all nully and trialy and all this other stuff that requires a picture to explian better

I would post a pic, but

heh, dunno how

You're not going to fix this problem unless you buy better hardware. The help file is pretty clear on these things.

Glide + eVoodoo is a fall-back measure, but if that isn't working for you you're simply out of luck.

What version of Jabo are you using?

Also, I think I've found my problem. It seems to do with the blending, since normal blend seems to fix stuff and break others while the default is just... not very good with 2D stuff.

Maybe there's a way to fix the blend in a different version?

First of all, I would Recommend Using Project 64 v1.5 final since it contain alot of fixes and is the most compatible N64 emu right now. I use Jabo's Direct3D6 and Direct3D7 v1.5 plugins, they are quite similar though...

I'm not going to use PJ64 till I get a better video card

It's way to slow on my PC, but I'll try it anyway For testing purposes and to see my computer struggle.

No there isn't. Jabo said that directx 6 has all that you need for n64 emulation and therefore didn't feel the need to port it over to directx 7.

If you want to make it look even better than that, use an even older version of jabo's video plugin like 1.2 or 1.3. I should know since I have integrated video on my board and I know what it is like. but i don't have that problem anymore since I switched to my geforce2 mx.
