Project64 can't recognize my plugins?
I recently downloaded the Unofficial Daedelus plugin. It worked really well for my computer, until Project 64 crashed my computer. When I rebooted, Project 64 said I needed to choose a graphics plugin, because none was chosen. So I went to Settings and then this happened.
ERROR Failed to load C:\Project64\plugin\DaedelusD3D8.dll I tried wiping the registry clean, but no such luck. Does anyone know why this is happening? And is it possible to fix it?

Did you wipe all the necessary registry keys? The two most important would be:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\N64Emulation and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DAEDALUSD3D8 Any other plugins affected? D3D and OGL?

The time I restarted my computer, most of my icons on the desktop and in windows explorer were replaced with other weird icons that didn't belong. So I decided to format my C: drive and install Win98. No problems so far, aside from Project 64 will freeze the computer if I use it too much.
The lesson here is don't use WinMe. It has to be the biggest waste of an OS packed into a single CD.

If you're really smart you'll ditch both WinME and Win98. Then get Win2000.
