turok 3. dodgy sound

in turok 3 for me the sound seems to be out of sync with the action on screen. the cutscenes look like a low budget japenese movie dubbed over in english. and sometimes when turok is talking it is so out of sync that you can actually hear the woman talking

PC demand is very high for Turok 3. I guess you can try Sync Game to Audio in the sound plugin, but the game might not work. If you got a computer less than probably 1GHZ, you want to focus on performance more than the sound.

You're right. Sync game to audio makes the fps drop to 0.

@emuguy: maybe you could try to lower the cf to 1 and see if it is in sync.

The Turok series is very picky with the Counter Factor. I think it can only use "defalt"

Those intergrated graphics are doing you in, changing to 64MB won't help, trust me. Video Card is claimed not to have a big impact on performance on Project64, but I don't believe that. I guess you can try the performance tweaking section in the help file, but you might have to get a new AGP card if it doesn't work

What kind of integrated graphics do you have? To find out, go click run in the start menu and type dxdiag and then tell us what it says in display.

sis integrated cards aren't that great to begin with. Many people that I know with them ended up getting a new card so my 2 cents are to go buy one. $50 to $100 should get you a more decent card like a gf2 mx or gf4mx .

the thing is that if your computer came with integrated graphics is that it is built into the motherboard. With that in mind, they didn't include an agp slot if a video card was already built in. So that way, the makers wouldn't need to spend more money on a graphics card.

If you want to keep up with the latest prices, go to pricewatch.com The only geforce4's you could get are the mx series which are sort of like regular gf4's expect stripped of many of its features.

It could. All PC's have pci cards. The easiest way to check would be to open the computer up and look if there is this litle brown slot next to all the pci slots. And to answer your other question, you can only get lower end models because the makers only make their best cards for agp since the slot was desiged for them.
