So whats new

I have been giving up on the project64 for like 6 months now! Becuase all the games i have only 180 i think maybe more work! I have 290 roms and i seen there was a new project64 v1.5 out now and just wondering if its worth getting back into! I kinda got sick of it because of teh problems and glitches and faults in most games i loved . i see still resident evil 2 isnt working also oh well! So can anyone fill me in on the last 6 months of this wicked emulator or any other new emualors that have been released! I seen the xbox emu is out but that contained a trojan/virus.

Later guys!

What if you checked emulation sites' news archives. There should be everything you want to know.

that had to be the lamest thing I have ever read.

If you want the games to run perfectly, just buy a N64, and all 290 cartridges.

WHATS THAT NINJA! Well why buy a N64 games when there is a PSX2 and Xbox out! All i was trying to do was make a convensation and see if the project64 v1.5 can play more than 180 roms now! If ya cant give me a answer of what i wrote well dont answer my topic! Man i hate idiots like u that come on and try to run other people down because they just ask a simply question! Anyway is theree much difference in teh v1.5 to the v1.4 . And are the new plugins wicked now!

I think Ninja is saying that you shouldn't complain about an emulator because it can't run some games. We're lucky even to have emulators, and free ones at that. If you're having problems with PJ64 then use another emulator like 1964, Corn or Nemu64. Plus, instead of asking about the compatibility why don't you just download the emulator yourself and test it out?

Yup, Demigod is right. Emulators are not perfect. And I doubt that there will be a perfect emulator. I, myself use 1964 and it's great emulator. And in time, the compatibily will be greater than PJ64 (if it hasn't surpassed it yet). Also, a lot of game work in the emu but the graphics are really bad. You can't do anything about that until a good plugin is out. And currently, the best GFX plugin out there, IMO (Jabo's D3D plugin) is discontinued, I think. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't really follow N64 emulation that much, but IIRC Project64 was discontinued, but has been taken up by another team. There is a 1.5 beta released hence.
Like the others said, you don't really have a right to complain about an emu's compatibility, unless you pay for it.
If you are really that dis-satisfied with it, why don't you code one yourself.

Hey dude, u should really watch what u're saying. U take the hard work of so many people on a silver plate (downloading the emulator for free) and u just throw it aside saying it's bad and that they should do better. God, it's guys like u that make people away from the emulation scene, whither they were intrested newbies (not annoying one, like urself) or authors. So just say thanks for what u get and if u don't like it then don't use it. Like Ninja said, buy a real N64. If u don't want to, then buy ur so-called PS2 and XBox and they'll certainly keep u busy until the emulators get better. Get that?!

God, I have never been so aggressive in this place before so I'm sorry to everyone (bar that guy who started this, I won't even give him the credit of his name). If u want to do statements like that, then believe me, they r many forums where ur kind can be found. Everyone is trying so hard to keep this place clean. And if my memory serves me right, then u might get banned for saying anything bad against the authors. So just remember that
