Slowdown in Goldeneye

When I play Goldeneye using this Emulator, it seems to have quite a lot of slowdown at the beginning of each level.

Is that an emu problem or a problem with my configuration ?

Thanx

GE is difficult to emulate and PJ64 may be the best N64 Emulator but certainly not the fastest one.
1964 will give you better performance... had nearly double FPS than with PJ64 on my old rig

I think it has higher sys requirements than Goldeneye. But you still should manage to get good FPS when using 1964.

This is explained on the PJ64 GameFaq.

Why is the game very slow and/or jerky?
This game is complex to execute and has higher than normal system requirements, you will need something closer to a recommended system than a minimum spec. system. Disabling or enabling Advanced Block Linking (ROM Settings) may help. Adjusting Counter Factor (ROM Settings) may also help. Anything you do to improve performance will help. Using another emulator may also help...

PD is slow too, but it runs a bit faster than GE (at least on my system). I seem to have more slowdowns occurring with GE than PD.
