star wars shadows and naboo

First, I am a newbie, so please forgive me.

I cannot get either Star Wars "Battle for Naboo" or "Shadows of the Empire" to run.

Naboo produces the error message "Unable to detect microde setting, $8A4F88F1 Micro ID."

Shadows opens, but at the screen to enter player info, there are black "holes" in the screen, which is very jittery, and I cannot get past that screen.

Any fixes?

Battle for Naboo doesn't work; Shadows of the Empire is unfixable. Shadows is playable though. Once you get through the menus (you'll have to do it blindly of course), the game itself runs perfectly.

Ok, but how do I get thru the menus? I've tried entering blind commands, but I never get past that point. None of the joystick (Gravis Eliminator Aftershock) work in that window, just keyboard commands.

when you enter in menu screen, only press "A" button, then select mission and press again "A" button.
I hope this help you.
