Question Zelda - Ocarina of Time

Why is it so slow when you enter the start menu?

Explained at HERE ...
Why does the menu take so long to load?
The subscreen delay is a known issue with the core of Project64, it seems to take around 7 seconds to load (vs. around 2 seconds on an original N64). You could use F4 to disable the speed limiter and reduce the time (to about 4 seconds on a minimum spec. PC), or be patient! Some users report they don't have this problem or it goes away during the game. Also, the other Zelda game isn't affected.

I have another question about this Zelda. I am unable to see anything after the opening screen (where it shows the logo and says "press start"). The other Zelda works fine, but I want to play this one first....

I am having the same problem with seeing the file menu. I am able to manipulate the file menu based on the sounds I hear when pressing the keys.

I have version 1.2 of OoT. Is this a version 1.2 problem only?

eVoodoo is a glide wrapper. It allows you to use Glide without having a videocard that supports Glide (eg. Voodoo cards use Glide). You can use it to be able to run UltraHLE/SupraHLE.

Could I get some pointers on how to set ultrahle up? I once got it to work on my computer and then deleted it. Awhile back I was trying to set it up again but it wouldn't appear after doubleclicking the exe icon. I can find it on the list of programs running when I press ctrl-alt-del.

Do you have spaces in your UltraHLE directory? They are not allowed, dunno any other solutions.

I think the version 1.2 rom is the reason why the screen doesn't work as other versions seem to work (I would have to pull out goodn64 to verify my version but I believe it's version 1.0) Remember later rom version numbers do not mean better unlike PC games... Later versions usually have small unnoticeable bugs fixed or have greater anti piracy security programmed in.

No, I don't have spaces in my directories.

I didn't get version 1.2 because I thought it was better than another version. I don't have the equipment to dump from my own carts so the alternative is to download it. It was all that I could find. This is not a rom request.

If version 1.2 is a verified good dump then the anti-piracy measures taken, if any, are affecting the emulation.

I´ve got a very sad problem. Whenever I go into a house it hangs and kicks me onto my desktop. Because of that I want to have another N64 that works good as well (fast and good graphics, easy control settings). Could anyone help me with that?
