It won't run on any current emulator. Not well enough to be called "playable" anyway.

BTW. How is N64 emulation progressing? I haven't seen any updates in a long time. I would really like to see an update with the Glide64 plugin, it ROX.

Emu wise--slowly. 1964 and Nemu are still alive and well, but no updates to report, though there was an unnofficial, uncompiled build of 1964 released. StrmnNrmn is working on a low-level RDP for Daedalus, which would make it the first N64 emulator to use LLE graphics as far as I know. No one as yet has picked up the PJ64 source, at least no one has come forward to say he/she has.

Plugin wise--Dave continues to work feverishly on his Glide plugin (word is Majora's Mask is now working, though I don't know if that's in a released version of the plugin). Since I don't have any 3dFx hardware I'm not following the development that closely. But there are also two OGL plugins in the works, one by Azimer (of Apollo fame) and one I just found out about by Orkin (very early I think).

Bottom line? Things are progressing slow but steady.

Will there be a chance of this game being playable in the future? Or will it be forever like this. Another thing is anyone (by that i mean emulator programers) working on this problem? I think that this is one of those games that really must be played, it is one of the better games on the N64 and it is also the only really good RPG on the system, apart from Zelda that is.

As just about any emu author will tell you, if you really want to play the game buy the console. This is a hobby for these guys, remember that.

And to answer your first question, I'm sure the game will be emulated eventually. People still work on emulating the NES, which goes to show how long it takes to get things as accurate as possible. Give it time (perhaps years, if necessary), and we'll see the game emulated.

I wouldn't consider Zelda an RPG but that's getting off topic...

Well, at least on the other hand I'm finally getting back into proximity of my n64in about 2 weeks, so I'll be able to play this game.

Just to clarify it ZELDA is a ROLE PLAYING GAME. You play the ROLE of a boy named Link.

Hopefully this game will be emulated sooner rather than later because it is a great game (that i have read) and i have played the previous versions on the snes. Although i struggled to play Tactics Ogre seeing it was in japanese but it still was great to play the fight sequences a bit.

Has annyone here actually played it though? I would like to hear some response as to what it is actually like? I have only read a few reviews and stuff, that about it.

Played what? Tactics Ogre? I have played through it dozens of times. It's awesome.

I think you know what i mean. But see Mario doesn't grow in strength and skill as does the characters in an RPG. Link gains skills and items that he can use as he progresses, where as Mario has all his skills from the start of the game.
