Super Smash Brothers problem

Just got started on the N64 emulation... my old comp was too wussy to handle it. Anyway, I was trying to play Super Smash Brothers and this is the screen I got. Other games I have are working fine (Zelda: TOoT, Zelda:MM, Mario 64, MarioKart 64, Castlevania Legacy of Darkness). I'm using the Jabo's DX7 1.4 plug-in with all the default settings (it seems OGL just doesn't really work with any of the ROMs, guess N64 emu doesn't get along with OGL, eh?). Is there a way to solve this?

Well at least fix the messed up border and the bottom is also cut off... fixing the lines between the BG textures would be nice too

Yeah I've had that border problem with a few games myself.

Well, the border IS annoying, but the most annoying thing is that the bottom of the screen is cut off so I can't see the energy bars and stuff... the game also flashes on the character select screen.

Download the latest Rom Database (RDB) file from http://www.emutalk.net/showthread.php?threadid=3541, this fixes most of the border problems with PAL games.

Use Jabo's D3D v1.3 better because in 1.4, you can't see the cursor when you select characters. in 1.3 you can see that.

Hmm... I'm using 1.4 and I CAN see the cursor so that's not much of a problem

Well, thats odd now, it doesn't appear for me, oh well it runs slow on my comp anyways.

I bet it works for you cause you have the PAL version. I have the US version.

Actually I didn't know I had the PAL version until now... guess I do though... I live in US and originally had the US version, but I didn't rip the ROMs myself, I just downloaded them... and obviously because of the legal issues, some of these downloads come from pretty shady places and don't have much info, or readme files or anything

Oh anyway, the RDB file fixed it, thanks alot. Though there's still a small black border around the whole edge, that's fine. There's not that blurry, doubled border and I can actually see the bottom, so nice! What's weird is I downloaded PJ64 from their homesite about 2 days ago and you'd think the most recent download would come with the newest RDB, but I guess not, oh well.
