Gamepad key assigments

Can anyone tell me how to assign the buttons for Zelda in Project 64
I have a Microsoft Sidewinder game pad.
It has the direction pad on the left.
4 buttons right.(A,B,X,y)
2 buttons(1 on each handle back.)

In project 64 i need to know which sections to use.

Digital pad-Analog stick-modifiers-c button's-buttons.

What are the Modifiers setting's?
Thanks in advance for your help.

What?
You want us to tell YOU how to configure your game pad or is it something else?

Why don't you figure out how to configure YOUR own gamepad to YOUR preference?
