Why BMP?

Is there any way to set PJ64 so that the screenshots won't be in .bmp format? I'd like to start uploading images with the many problems I have but they're too big!

If you just open them in an image editor like Paint Shop Pro or even just paint brush you should be able to go 'File>Save As' and select '*.jpg' as your output format.

just as easy to pause the emulator, then take a screen grab, I use MWSNAP (http://www.mirekw.com) to capture all the images for my site as it has a handy 'SNAP fixed rectangle' button which you can set to the screen resolution.

Or may I recommend IrfanView for image conversions. This program has a little nice 'batch conversion' option.... pretty handy if you have 100+ BMP screenshots you want to convert to JPG.... best of all it's free too!
