Valkyrie Profile problem

Hi there~

I came to this problem in Valkyrie Profile.

In Chapter 3. I "soul searched(?)" right, and it told me to go to Camoille(?) Village where "Kashell/Celia" is. In the scene where they are both inside thise tomb(?) to investigate and de-petrify that little girl, and how that monster comes out of nowhere and poke Kashell.
He's dead, and Valkyrie's talking to him holding that vial.

Up to the part:
Kashell: To Live?
Valkyrie: Yes. The right to life. <---FREEZES?~! :O OMFGRAWRBBQ

Yes, as i said, at that scene, the game freezes, but not the emulator, and everything else works fine, but the scene just doesn't move. And also there's no voice just when she talks at that frozen scene.

So, if anyone has come across this problem before, or may know how to fix it, please tell me~!

ps: yes, im using original valkyrie profile i borrowed from my friend la.

its possible your cd is damaged and epsxe is having difficulty reading that specific area. try making an ISO from the disk and see if the freeze still happens, or try it on another emulator and see if it happens with that as well..
