Mdf file? (Question)

Sorry cuz Im a noob in emulation, Ive always downloaded games from the net and opened them as a iso. But now Ive downloaded Vagrant story. And when I try open it I cant cuz there are two files. One mdf and one mds file, I have no idea what this is or how to open them up. Please help me so i can run the game. Thanks
