Technologically Challenged

I just installed ePSXe160 and I'm pretty sure I configured everything correctly I tried downloading a game I own (FF8) but once I DL'd all the files I have no idea what folder to put them in or how to run it. Help would be much appreciated

we dont support piracy. owning the game yourself doesnt mean anything, you are not download your copy, you are downloading someone elses. it might be a good idea to know that most, if not all, pirated material, espeecially the popular stuff like ps1, ps2, etc games do not work. not to mention you are subjecting your computer to a huge risk of getting all types of harmful crap put on it when using sites that offer those types of things.

edit- now, since you said you do own the cd, im willing to offer help for you on how to make a working ISO from your own cd instead, but thats as far as im going to go with all this. i, and everyone else here, will not help you get pirated material to work. so if thats what you want, you can post your issue on some warez forum and i imagine they would be more than willing to help you with that. but if you really want to save yourself some time and frustration, i suggest you make an ISO from your own disks, they are much more reliable and are very easy to make.

Why would you download the game if you already have it? The emulator can run a real copy of the game fine from the CD Drive.

well perhaps his cd is in bad condition and the emulator has trouble reading from it. it happens, but it doesnt make it legal. and even if it was, the effort and time that is needed to find working copies of them on the net is just totally not worth it. anyway, if you want to make an ISO of your own cd, read this thread.
