Black traingles problem on XP

Hi i'm experiecing a problem similar to the one with vista when using pete's OGL2 i used the configs posted here also there is no problem with components but i'm gonna say that my videoboard is ATI 9600XT and i have FF7 original and with out problems i think its a problem with the latest catalyst drivers versione 7.12 i would like to know if someone else has this problems (on catalyst 7.11 it's working with out glitches)

I have the same problem, looks like there isn't anything that can be done until OpenGL 3 is released and then ATI might bother making a working driver for it. Download a program called OpenGL extension viewer and read the report, see if it says no ICD Installed.

its not going to happen till AMD fires the driver team and hires a new one.
the only decent OpenGL ICD Dev they had on the team has left to do other things.

There are black triangles not only in FF VII.
With catalyst 7.12 I got such problem in almost every game that uses 3D. Therefor I cannot play my favourite WWF Smackdown 2.
I also hope it can be solved.

get enough people to complain about it to them and i imagine they might decide to do something about it. dont quote me on it though, ATI's driver support has always been a bit iffy imo.

Well i see that there are still the 7.12 catalyst drivers on the site i for one chanced back to 7.10 (the official drivers) with ati tray tools (dont tell me about omega i dont like how they work at least on my PC) and with 7.11 i have less FPS in DOA 2 LE so at least for me there seems to be some issues in that driver with D3D (works fine on 7.12) if they continue like this they can kiss me goodbye and anyone who buy's a PC throught me

look, guys, stop complaining here, and complain to them.

they will only get the message once they receive enough complaints.

their driver team is a bunch of arrogant snots, who don't seem to understand that OpenGL is just as important to get right as D3D... and they can't even get D3D right.
