Eternal SPU and FF9

Can't seem to find how to search for exact matches of all words in the search so its kinda hard to find my problem but here it is.

With the research I did to this point I found out that Eternal SPu is the best for ff9 but even w/ the bug fix checked the sound seems to repeat it with a little delay. I keep testing it on the opening fmv so perhaps this is known to happen no matter what let me know if it is.

I am also using the original cd, perhaps isos work better? Also, I can't figure out what people mean by "PAL" so if you can help me determine if I need the "pal patch" I would appreciate it.

No PAL

Ok I didnt know that ntsc was the other option but now that you let me know I seen those 4 magical letters on the cd case so i suppose i dont have to worry about the patch. thanks for helping me with that little problem.

now for the sound, still cant figure it out, tried the epsxe built in sound plugin, eternal, eternal lite, and petes. none seem to offer desirable sound playback. I am alittle confused w/ pete's config options so maybe thats where i am going wrong but on the boards most people just suggest eternal as "the best."

try lowering the buffer length in the Eternal SPU options.

too low (<25) and the sound quality is really bad too high(>60) and the sound effects in menus are delayed. In between the sound doubles up, perhaps you have a setting that seems to work perfectly for you?

maybe im just being picky ill deal with it for a bit
