Blood omen legacy of kain very strange bug

Hi to all,
I made a search before asking (by the way i'm not english, so please sorry about mistakes) about this game. The game works perfectly under epsxe 160 emulator only for 1 bug really strange:
magic spells, magic weapons and action button don't work. That's strange because if you change controls configuration changing action button to another, the prevuious button will not work and the new one with the new action will work. Example:

Cfg 1

X = attack (work)
O = action (not work)
[] = magic spell (not work)
Δ = magic weapon (not work)

changing cfg

X = action (not work)
O = attack (work)
[] = magic weapon (not work)
Δ = magic spell (not work)

in facts only attack button works.
How this could be possible?

Hello comatrix and welcome to emuforums.
A strange issue....Are you playing from the CD or an iso?Do you encounter the same problem with another emulator?( I suggest you to try pSX).

Thank you redlion for the answer.
By the way i saw that emulator and LoK Blood omen 1 is not supported (in fact i'm surprised it works enough well under espxe).
About psx compatibility list it says:

PAL version:

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain SLES_000.75 1.7 NO At the first dialogue (with the bartender) Kain's speech goes into an infinite loop

NTCS-U version

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain SLUS_000.27 1.1 NO At the first dialogue (with the bartender) Kain's speech goes into an infinite loop

I have both versions and the emulator has the same problem under epsxe the inly emulator able to run LoK Blood Omen.... apparently.
OK i get out my Playstation and try on it on console. I'll let u know the answer as soon as possible.

P.S. I talk about the game because it is an abandonware so downloadable legally

dunno where you got that from but Legacy of Kain is not abandonware, it is ESA protected

Squall-Leonhart you are talking about Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver, not Blood Omen Legacy of Kain, because i can give you the link to the website called abandonware in france, and you can download the full game. Even on PSX list to another site abandonware Blood Omen is downloadable. But not Soul Reaver, that one yes is not abandonware.

Is it just me are those pages about the PC version? What about the PSX version?

Also, I wonder if it's different for different regions. Strange...

the PSX version would be ESA protected as well, if the publisher is the same for both the PSX and PC

that and have you ever heard of a PSX game being abandonware?, coz i haven't yet.

Sorry to say that but you can download officially and legally for free games like:

Far Cry
Prince of Persia Sands of Time
Command and Conquer

Some of these game you can play it also in console (PS2), so i don't see nothing strange games dated 2002/03 are free to download and also in console. and games like legacy dated 1995 no. Now you heard games for free

I don't know who to believe, if you or them about legacy of kain

yes, those are all Ubisoft games, and are free because ubisoft has chosen to make them so
they are not abandonware

secondly, what do they have to do with this topic, absolutely nothing, so please stay on it.

it is illegal to download PSX games, no matter what, even if some site says the PC version is available doesn't mean the PSX version is.

let me put it this way, any more talk about the downloading of PSX games in this thread, and it will likely be closed by one of the staff.

Yeah, the Ubisoft analogy isn't very good...also, Far Cry can hardly be called free, maybe "ad ridden" would be a better description.

About the topic at hand...I'm still scratching my head about the situation. I don't know where this French page gets off saying it's abandonware, but I'm inclined not to believe it. After all, any random website can say "here's an abandonware game" and offer up warez

On the other hand, if it's legit, that would be pretty cool.
