Problems with Final Fantasy VI

Alright heres the issue, whenever I run Final Fantasy VI it runs great until it gets to the start a new game or load previous game screen. Now, it runs fine here too until I try to move the cursor up or down or even clickling on New.

Each one has a different error but they are all similar, I don't know how to do screenshots on my computer screen but here is what the error looks like

>>>>>Opcode 3f UNK (PC 000ca748) (2206, 134)<<<<<

Each time its that exact same error but depending on the key I press the numbers are different.

I am using my keyboard as a controller and its set up like this

X (F) Square (D) Circle (S) Triangle (A) and the Arrows are my directional Pad.

I'm using Pete's DX6 D3D Driver 1.76 (video) and ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2 (sound)

(((I used PSXeven and it works perfectly but I don't like using it personally)))

What's wrong with PSXeven? If it works, use it.

The problem is when I use it, I'm also on AIM chatting with friends and whenever I'm typing in the IM if I press F (which is X on my keyboard controller) it will go into the IM chatbox but it will also register on PSXeven so I do something I didn't want too or miss text while I'm in a conversation in-game.

Plus if I want to skip through a cut-scene on ePSXe I can press "9" to turn off FPS limit so it just goes by fast, that feature doesn't seem to work on PSXeven.

is it an original version, you may need to use a PPF
also, make sure theres no CD read errors, and that all drivers are up to date.

lastly make sure you have no memory resident virus protectors running as these can interfere with games

Have you tried changing the pad plugin?

Check your settings in your GPU plugin. It's the little "..." box in the FPS section. Make sure the "turn off FPS limit while pressed" button is bound to something.

I will try changing the pad plugin (didn't think about that) and no its an ISO, I own the game but I don't think you can dump cartridges onto a computer.

And I have the "Turn off FPS limit while pressed" Button bound to the key 9 and it just doesn't wanna work.

Anyways, thank you for your replies I really appreciate the help ^^
