You have to exit the emulator properly Esc--> File --> close

Is it only SO2 that has problems? Or all games?

And if you're using save states, don't.

After I xed out of windowed mode improperly the audio continued to play. I tried to kill the process in task manager but I couldn't find any processes related to EPSXE. I reseted and shut down numerous times since the incident but I haven't been able to retrieve the sound. Other games do continue to work though.

EDIT: I have tried it from both saves states and memory card save points

sorry for the double post but the problem has been resolved. I've loaded from a different save point and that seems to have worked. Mysterious problem but thanks guys.

I Don't know if your question has been answered yet but my vid config is up there. I heard sound config is a large factor in this game. I use Eternal SPU Plugin Lite 1.41
[X]enable sound
[X]enable CDDA Sound
[X]enable XA sound
Config
Direct sound buffer:64
Audio out method: Thread
Special game fix
[X]SPU IRQ - Wait CPU action
[X]SPU IRQ - Force interruption flag7
[X] Wait for XA buffer is free

I don't know if its the best config but it works for me.
