FFVII black triangles?
Seems like people here are the true masters so I signed up to ask for some assistance. First off, I'm using ePSXe 1.6.0 with Petes OGL2 configed according to the config posted here as well as Eterna for SPU. I made ISO's of my FFVII game, but this happens whether I use the ISO or disc. My PC is an A64 3200+ @ 2.6GHZ, 1GB DDR400 RAM, ATI Radeon 9600XT 256. I've searched these forums for my issue and read the FAQ's, so if I missed the solution I apologize! Alright, my problem. I get black triangles on the character models and the World map in general. A screen is attached below showing the world map only, but the character models are similar (note: the settings in use on that screen aren't the same as the config. I was frigging around to get something to work). Any one know whats up? |

Downloading 7.6's now to give them a whirl. Ill let you know if it helps. No luck. In fact now all the menu's are severely blue tinted, lol. I guess I will stick with D3D. Runs faster anyway and I can deal with the slight loss of eye candy. Still wonder why it does it though. Last edited by zortoflaven; July 5th, 2007 at 20:00.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Does it also not happen with Peops Soft Gpu plugin? If the latest drivers dont work you could try another emulator, did you try using ePSXe v1.5.2? Dont know if that will help you but I had better results with it when i played Final Fantasy 7 or 9.

You could always try omega drivers, and see if that fixes the problem.

I have the same problem using OpenGL plugins. It's a well reported Vista issue. Vista's OpenGL performance wasn't that impressive when compared to WinXP. I know ATI (Catalyst drivers) is trying to boost its OpenGL performance under Vista, but I don't know if Pete (creator of plugin) is doing the same. Try Omega drivers and tell us if fixes the problem. Greets. |
