Final Fantasy 9 Problems

Hey, my problem is that final fantasy 9 keeps freezing at the cut scene at the beginning of the game where you get on the cargo arship. Ive used my actual disk, and an iso i ripped from that same disk, but each time it freezes at the cutscene. I know that on a ps2, if you eject the disk right at the cut scene, then close it back up, it will skip the whole thing. so if someone could please tell me if there is any way to do something similar on epsxe, with the actual game or the iso. thanks.
