Valkyrie Profile hanging bugfix

My experience with Valkyrie Profile is that when Arngrim and Badrach run away from the knights - just before they rush back, during Arngrim's little Voiced monologue, the game tends to hang while waiting for a sound signal.

If you freeze around that area and the game won't move : SIMPLY TURN YOUR SPU OFF, SAVE STATE AFTER IT AND CLOSE YOUR EMULATOR. Then turn the SPU on, load state and voilá. You still won't have sound for an event or two, but it *does* get fixed once the game updates.

Yup, it did work with me too, I even think I posted the trick but no one seemed to care. Someone should stick a thread with weird workarounds like this one ^^'

Doubt it. My very language centers around accented letters - or unicode letters -. I have the basic, non-cyrill ones.

Weird then, cause in your post, the accent goes from bottom-left to top-right, while it should go from top-left to bottom-right

Oh, that's true :-D. It probably doesn't mean much really. French are the only people who I know reversely write some accented letters.
If you pronounce my Á on Voilá in my language, it's the same :-D.

i got this one it works for me .. but when the event of loki and odin was talking about the gungir .. it stop its speeches.. it freeze. . i felt sory to myself i was unable to finish that game.. . somebody help me huhu (its on ending A)

i use f7 to escape from speeches but in my case lately .. it using f7 dont work. . how can i on / off my spu? is that pressing f4 or f7 i use eternsl spu plugin 1.41 thanks for those who will help me.. i will appreciate it..

Simple. GO five minutes before that freezing spot and save state. Quit EPSXE, load it up again, go to SOUND and turn it to "off", or tell the plugin in its' own options not to emulate any sound. When your game is totally mute, load the save state and keep going. When you get past the freezing point, save state again. Close the emu, open it up, tell the plugin to emulate sound and load state. 1-2-3 minutes after loading state, you will have sound after you move some :-D.

F7 is only for the Xenogears dream sequence.

i mean when i press f7 = xenogers disabled.. and then after i press that.. the sound begins to freeze.. its my style to escape some freezes in the game.. but conversion of odin and loki. it doesn't work for me. i got stuck up there.. oh my!!! i want to finish the game i like the story and i want to explore it on myself how it happens.. how can i mute the sound? im using epsxe 1.6.0 will i uncheck all in sound options? there is no mute option and even i configure out my sound plugin eternal 1.41 there is no changes.. thanks for help.. you're playing valkyrie profile too? hehe that's good.. ^_^

i tried to unchecked all .. but it doesnt solve my problem.. huhu i dont know what to do... how can i skip that ?

It's disabled by default already...

To disable sound, just uncheck all SPU boxes like "Enable Sound" in the main option menu. The bug still has chances to occur, but much less, so do what he said. For once savestates are pretty useful

Save states are always useful, long as you use them smart-like.

I do. Just no idea how to send it to you. Yousendit went retarded a few months ago. Before, it was : NO REGISTER, FREE, 1 GIG PER FILE send.
Now it's : REGISTER, 100 MB MAX -_-
