FF7 ploblem in the temple of the anceints

Hey guys,
I am a big fan off the emulator, its been keeping me alive at school since we have a blocked internet. Although, i have run into a problem. During the temple of the anceints when you are talking to serphiroth (right before he drops the dragon boss on you, when you are near the alter that caitsith gets the black materia from later and he is swinging his sword around.) Serphiroth starts flashing white (which i believe he is supposed to do, I have played the game 7 times before this, but not to recently) and he neaver stops flashing white. No diologe boxes come up. I tryed useing the old ESC then continue tric that works during battle freeze up with no luck. I am useing the "psx emulation cheater 2.5" running off "pete's openGL driver 2.3" Thanks in advance for all those who took the time to read this, and even more thanks go out to those who respond in a posive manor!

(PS: happy to give any requested information so if you need anything from my end just leave a post)

btw, i said i played this game 7 times before this. THose were on a real PS1. THis is my first time i am useing the comp to play, so thats also why i am cheating. I dont feel like limit break abuseing like i normally do lol

Cheating is known for sometimes corrupting the game

Turn off cheats and read the sticky at the top of the forum you posted in. Pay heed especially to the parts about changing graphics plugins/emulators and loading off memory card saves instead of save states.
