ISO trouble.

I have BIN and CUE files for Star Ocean two and I want to make it into an ISO.

I used magiciso to simply convert the BIN to an ISO but when I tried to run it using epsxe to see if it worked all I got was a black screen. My question is: Am I supposed to use a program that puts both the BIN and CUE into an ISO or is my configuration for Star Ocean giving me a black screen?

Thanks in advance.

As would I, but my originals have long since been destroyed in an unfortunate fire mishap.

Any other suggestions to my first post?

Just use the bin/cue, there's nothing wrong with that. Converting from one format to another shouldn't magically make an emulator work.

In fact, if you read the sticky at the top of the forum you posted in, you'll see this:

Quote:
All I get is a black screen.
  • look at the console (the DOS window). are there any errors? what are the errors? based on that, make adjustments to the plugins you use (i.e. if it has a CD reading error, try a different plugin, different drive, or make an ISO)
  • If you have a copy protected PAL game, you might need to use a PPF patch. Check NGEmu's PPF page for our downloadable database of PPF patches. Alternatively, create an ISO image with subchannel data.
  • does anything show up when you run the BIOS? (File-->Run BIOS in ePSXe). if so, then you know it's a problem with the game not the emulator in general.
  • does the game work on a real PSX? if not, then that's your problem; your game just doesn't work.
And of course, many other tips and suggestions.
