FF9 needs no patch

When using delta, put your original cd into the drive and launch FF9 under the default setting for FF7. There should be no problem. But if you use the FF9 profile, weirdness happens. Anybody replicate this?

What kind of weirdness are you talking about? Have you tried the emulator without delta?

Well, I get a blank screen and the game doesn't load if I use the FF9 profile. The same happens if i just use ePSXe without delta.

well, im not having any problem with FF9 as i can play it perfectly using ff7 profile. I just thought it interesting that the default ff9 profile doesn't work and people have to patch it.

Ok.So you can play the game? So your request is that delta seems to have bug with FF9 profile and that someone have to patch it?? WTF???

Let me explain: We are not the developpers of delta. So if you noticed a bug in it, you should have better think to send an email to Delta coders. Here your query have absolutely no sense knowing that you got no problems running the game.( Just notice that the section where you posted is called "problems with games" not "Problems with frontends not running games with the good profile"). And also think that this profile could work for other people.

So what I suggest you is when you want to play FF9 with ePSXe is not to use Delta and to configure your plugins like this.

Betamax is the coder of Delta if you need to ask something PM him.
Anyway godlyatheist if you somehow have a PAL version of the game, use ppf patch.

Then config plugins by yourself or run Delta and choose FF9 profile.
