FF7 semi-black screens

hi there im considered new to emulation with the PS on computer so i would like to seek some help regarding this problem im facing.

attached are some screenshots taken. its in a zip file sorry for the inconvenience to view them.

so it mainly concerns the graphics when i play ff7. in the world map theres huge patches of black areas and on my character (picture001) and then when i enter battle its the same thing whereby black patches here and there (pictures002,003,004).

notice that in 003 some of my characters and the background turn up as black although the shape is there, while 004 was snapped after i win the battle when they are supposed to have victory poses.

this problem occurs all the time throughout the gameplay.

the following is my configurations.

Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.8

GFX card: Radeon 9000 DDR x86/SSE2

Hello Skier and welcome to Ngemu forums.

First: Have you updated the drivers of your card? If not go here.

If yes : So your card is weak to handle Pete's OGL2.Use Pete's 1.76 ogl gpu plugin instead.

What are your PC specs (CPU, RAM, Graphic card)?
Does the same issue occur with any other game?
Are you playing with ISO or from Cd?

Please don't double post, use the edit button instead.
IMO you should use Pete's 1.76 plugins for your card.Tell us if you got problems with thoses.

Edit:For you computer specs:
-Right click on your desktop icon => Proprerties or...
-Start => Run => Dxdiag

Then try updating your graphics card drivers. And follow the troubleshooting steps that are written:

Quote:
* Lower the resoloution to 640x480
* Make sure FSAA and anistropic filtering is off in your graphics card's control panel - PSX Emulation does not support AF
* Set 'Hi-Res Textures' to 0
* Change Framebuffer Textures to 3 as it may work better on some (ATi) cards. Any other settings will remove the battle swirls
