Star Ocean 2: The Second Story Multiplayer

During the battle sequences, I can't seem to get the Emulator to recognize the second controller even though it's mapped to different buttons. They are on the same keyboard, however.

What do you guys think could be the trouble?

Check the plugin's section and search next time, because, while I don't have a direct link, I've seen this type of problem answered a million times by the simple asnwer "Search or check the FAQ" I'm pretty sure you need some custom plugin they have, I remember.

Might be pressing too many buttons at once. Keyboards can only recognize so many buttons being input at any given time.

How is it possible to play Star Ocean: The Second Story in a multiplayer mode? As far as I recall, I own the game, and there is no simultaneous multiplayer like some other games have, like FFIX for example. Is it some input plugin for epsxe? or a patch for SO? Please let me know, I'd be really interested in playing this game with a friend over netplay.

I don't have SO so I don't really know the concept...is it just as simple as using a second controller? So then what's the problem if you have two gamepads?

I know this threads kind of old but just to answer your question pushy Star Ocean 2 does not support two players, and doesn't let you control more than one character at the same time neither, so 2 players isn't going to happen.

Since they could have just read it was only 1 player on the case or in the instruction booklet, they probably just downloaded the game somewhere anyway.

How long has it been since you even played the game? Without some sort of hack that can't be done (man why is this board Emailing me about a topic I posted in? *looks for the option to change*).

Look at the back of the cover, want to keep lying now?
