Gamepad Analog problems with FFVIII
I've searched the forum for this for about an hour with no luck.
The main problem I'm having is that while playing FF8, the up and down axis and the left and right axis is flipped during menu's. I've tried on my PS2 and it does it right, but in ePSXe left is up, and right is down...but only in any kind of menu. It works perfectly with any other game, just final fantasy 8. I've tried with version 1.5.2 and 1.6.0 and both have the same problem, I'm using an XBOX S controller with XBCD drivers. Everything else works, except rumble, but the flipping axis' is bothering me. I've tried F5 but that doesn't do anything. Any ideas? |

I don't think it's a problem with XBCD, it works perfectly if I use any other psx
game besides FF8, parasite eve, ff7, 9, etc.. but in FF8 for some reason the menu messes up the axis of the analog...as I said, left becomes up, up becomes right, etc. In the game when I'm not in a menu, it works perfectly, just in the menu, start screen, save/load screen, tutorial, etc.. |

Hum.Never had this problem. You should switch to another emulator Like PSX and see the result.Meaby this is the game itself which has a bad reading of your axes in the menu.So nothing possible to do but reprogramming it....
