Playing Xenogears in ePSXe using actual game CD?
How do I get it to work? I'm using ePSXe v.1.6.0., and everytime I try to RUN CDROM, I get the error message "ePSXe is not completely configured go to config->bios to configure it". So next I go into config -> bios, and I see that the file "scph1001.bin" is underneath "Select Bio File". It seems like it should be ok...
Note: I only have the option of selecting "RUN PS-EXE" (Under "File"); the options "RUN ISO" and "RUN BIOS" both give me the same error message as "RUN CDROM". Please help me out. I have been attacking this problem for the past 4 hours now (On and off), and I don't want to spend another 4 on it. Thank you for reading. |

Ok, I finally got the game to run now; sadly more problems have popped up:
1. The game is running rather quickly (Is there a way to adjust this?) 2. There's no sound at the very beginning (When the squaresoft logo shows up) 3. When you go to the selection menu (New game, continue, etc.), the Xenogears logo at the back can't be seen. 4. I can't find my dex drive saved files... 5.. It keeps crashing whenever I press exit (How do I access the top ePSXe toolbars while in game? Kind of like in ZNES?) Thanks for your help though; at least I can start a new game now. Oh yeah, 6. My start bar moved up by 7 inches, and it won't go down... |

1. Yes enable fps limit in the gpu plugin:
![]() 2. Try to use different sound plugin, like eternal spu plugin 1.41. 3. Change settings in the compatibility section in video plugin configuration. 4.Go to www.gamefaqs.com to download saves. 5. Press ESC key. 6. Dunno about that one...

1. Fixed!
2. Fixed! 3. Fixed! 4. I'm using DexPlorer, and I want to transfer my saved files from my memory card to ePSXe, but I can't get it to work for some reason. Don't you just drag it into Panel 1 from the Memory card column and save as? 5. Sorry I meant esc; but it's still crashing everytime I press it. I can't access the toolbar on top. By crash I mean it says that "ePSXe has encounted a problem and needs to close". 6. I fixed it by changing the screen resolution. Thanks a lot for your help. Um, whenever I make a .gme file in dexplorer, and transfer my Xenogears save files into it, ePSXe cannot read it. It doesn't show up for some reason. Changed the dexdrive software and everything turned out ok. Last edited by serogane; August 22nd, 2006 at 08:42. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

I know what you're talking about, but the options I get are "Debug", "Send Error Report" and "Don't Send"; and when I click on "Click here" to see what data this error report contains, I can't find anything of significance/meaning.
