Problems with FFTactics
So I download and installed the epsxe160. Loaded the bios, got a plugin (pete's) and then ripped a copy of my Tactics game using MagicISO to create the ISO file. I do all the video tests and everything works. But when I try to play the game, either with the disc or the ISO I get the black screen. I can play this game fine on my PSone and my PS2, so I don't think there's an issue with the game. I think I'm just missing something. I've been looking through the forums and can't seem to find the answer. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks, Spin |

Yah
"All I get is a black screen. * look at the console (the DOS window). are there any errors? what are the errors? based on that, make adjustments to the plugins you use (i.e. if it has a CD reading error, try a different plugin, different drive, or make an ISO) * get a PPF patch, if you have a copy protected PAL game. check NGEmu's PPF page for our downloadable database of PPF patches. * does anything show up when you run the BIOS? (File-->Run BIOS in ePSXe). if so, then you know it's a problem with the game not the emulator in general. * does the game work on a real PSX? if not, then that's your problem; your game just doesn't work." 1. No errors in DOS window. 2. It's not a PAL game, I checked. 3. Yes the BIOS work fine 4. Yes it works on my PSX and PS2. Curious if anyone had any other suggestions as to what my problem was Spin |
