Problems with FFTactics

So I download and installed the epsxe160. Loaded the bios, got a plugin (pete's) and then ripped a copy of my Tactics game using MagicISO to create the ISO file. I do all the video tests and everything works. But when I try to play the game, either with the disc or the ISO I get the black screen. I can play this game fine on my PSone and my PS2, so I don't think there's an issue with the game. I think I'm just missing something. I've been looking through the forums and can't seem to find the answer. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,
Spin

Yah

"All I get is a black screen.

* look at the console (the DOS window). are there any errors? what are the errors? based on that, make adjustments to the plugins you use (i.e. if it has a CD reading error, try a different plugin, different drive, or make an ISO)
* get a PPF patch, if you have a copy protected PAL game. check NGEmu's PPF page for our downloadable database of PPF patches.
* does anything show up when you run the BIOS? (File-->Run BIOS in ePSXe). if so, then you know it's a problem with the game not the emulator in general.
* does the game work on a real PSX? if not, then that's your problem; your game just doesn't work."

1. No errors in DOS window.
2. It's not a PAL game, I checked.
3. Yes the BIOS work fine
4. Yes it works on my PSX and PS2.

Curious if anyone had any other suggestions as to what my problem was

Have you tried the game in any other emulator (PSXeven, pSX, SSSPSX, PCSX)?

Works like a champ on PSXeven.
Thoughts on why it wouldn't work on the other one?

Thanks,

Now that I say that, I can get the game to load, but I can't do anything except hit escape. I can't hit start or enter any menus, like the game isn't registering my keyboard. Any thoughts?
