Oddities and Problems
I have a Xenogears ISO, and when I ran it (I mount all my ISOs with Alcohol 120%), it ran soundless. When I closed it down to muck with sound settings, it would not run. So I reset them, and it still wouldn't work. Now, the only thing that works (I tried Star Ocean Second Story (worked perfectly before, nothing now), Suikoden II (nothing), and Tactics Ogre: LUCT (ran the Atlus corporate logo slowly, sputtering, and soundless once, then stopped working)) is the BIOS, which has sound and works fine.
I'm running a 1.73GHz dual-core Toshiba Satellite with an integrated Intel GFX chipset... I have ePSXe 1.6.0, with Pete's graphics plugins, using DX6 D3D 1.76 and the PeOpS sound plugin 1.09, which does not "test" (as in the button) as working properly, along with the ePSXe sound core. My settings are below in screenshots: ![]() The top two sound settings of the four are selected, the fourth will not stay selected, the third sometimes does. ![]() No subchannel options configured on the CDROM plugin, which is the ePSXe core. |

man i hate imageshack. you can just upload your pics to emuforums, by the way.
anywho...try using Eternal for sound. if you're using save states, don't. if you save state without sound, whenever you load it, there won't be sound. you can also use Run ISO, which doesn't use the CD plugin. i don't know if there is a performance difference or not, but it's handy if you play a lot of different ISOs. |

Thanks, switching plugins fixed everything but Xenogears, and converting the MDF/MDS ISO to a .iso fixed that!
EDIT: Never mind on that, there's no sound in the FMVs in Xeno. The first three options on the Sound config are checked, the fourth still won't stay checked, and I haven't changed any other settings on the Eternal plugin... Last edited by Laharl; August 17th, 2006 at 18:49. |
