Syphon Filter 2 - Need Help

Ok, so I'm playing SF2, I complete the 3rd level and after saving, go into the 4th level and the screen turns black. I switched plugins (Pete's OpenGL 2.8 to 1.75) and it starts working again. Well, I just completed Level 7 and going into 8 is the same thing, but this time, I can't get it to work w/ any of the video plugins.

Anyone else have this problem??? How do I fix it? I really want to play, 1 was so much fun and this one is waaayyy challenging.

Please HELP!!

Try making an ISO.

Sorry, forgot to tell you that I am playing off the copy. I had problems playing off the original, so I made a copy and have been playing off of that.

what's wrong with the original? if it was messed up somehow, that could've transferred to your copy and bam...problem.

oh well, you could always read the sticky right at the top of the forum you posted in--the one that says "read first before you post"....

I got my answer and this solution works.

So for anyone who runs into this problem, this is what you need to do:

"use the command line option -oldtiming

that should fix it for the rest of the game, except for the final fight with Chance. At that time, DO NOT SAVE at the final save point. Instead make a save state, remove -oldtiming, reload the savestate, and see if it works."
