Running FFIX on a crappy Geforce 5200 FX 64MB

I'm having some trouble configuring the correct plugin and such for Final Fantasy IX, I prefer to use ePSXe with delta (because this is one of the only ways to keep my lil brother out of messing with my settings) I got the game to run and all, but still in battle its lagging unless i hold square(to hide the atb bars) I heard that for geforce you either use opengl 1 or 2 (i know pete or something, well i have those 2 (and more). So now I need to know, which one do you prefer for a geforce 5200 Fx (64 MB goddamnslowiritatingcard).

My specs are:

Intel Pentium 4 2.26 Ghz
1024 MB Ram, 320 GB HD Space
Xbox controller (via handmade usb cable)
And a good DVD burner (LG)
(also I ripped my game to iso's (4 different one's)

Umm, ok one question thoughm why do most people recommend windowed xD, isnt it faster to use fullscreen?
Btw, works perfect, i guess these are the optimal settings for FFIX, arent some of the options to make the text some better?

Edit 2:
I done some tweaking again, not tried fullscreen yet but these setting are about optimal right now,
As you can see i have set the high-res textures on, looks BEAUTIFULL, text perfect , the character are very blurred but minimal, sharpness is still in them

it's faster to use fullscreen. i dont know who exactly is recommending window mode though. i post my settings with windowed mode because that's how i like to start my emulation. start in a window, move to fullscreen. i dunno, that's how i like it. but anyone who is recommending either is gonna say play it fullscreen for faster speeds.

No problem, i believe hushypushy was talking about that "but this is good" part...
because it sounds like you found an alternative of those 2 options you asked for but you infact got an answer on those .

i was expecting nothing but the best out of FF9 because i absolutely loved 7 and 8. i bought it right when it came out and actually...it surpassed my expectations. FF9 is my favorite FF---after FF7 that is

I also use a GeForce FX 5200 but 128MB and you would think full screen would run faster, but I run in windowed myself because I've had problems with it running slower in fullscreen for who knows what reason.
