ff8 hangs

hey i followed the guides at the top and i can get ff8 working but when i get to killing the robot that you have to run away from on your seed test (the robot jumps from the radio tower) after i beat him and run away the game/program hangs after ive gone through the exp and ap part of the fight

i have enabled the speacial game fix for ff7 8 and 9 but it dosnt seem to make a diff and heres a pic of my settings

Hm you probably read the FAQ then...
Ar you playing off CD or you are using ISO? Have you tried any other ps emulator?

ok i have downloaded delta but now i belive it has delted my saed game so has anyone got a saved game off ff8 and there just up to the seed feild test ?

I don't understand, why have you used Delta now, Delta is a frontend, it keeps
settings of your games, first you should get your game running...

Anyway, can you answer on my previous questions, please?

im running of the iso as i burnt an iso image of the cd, but i also tried the cd thats why i wnet to image same probelm occurs its like the gui freezes as i can use then end button for frame limiter and i can hear the music go faster or slower but the frames and the little bar at the top when you press delete wont change

Hm... well i suggest you try another emulator (like PSXeven,PCSX,SSSPSX) with this config, you can try pSX also.

My personal opinion is PSXeven, though the others are also very good emus.
Well you can try that config I gave you with ePSXe also but if that doesn't work try some other emu then.

ok i downloaded psxeven and the imported the same plugins i used with psxe and the video config looks diffrent to the one you linked as my one has more options as you can see, i followed it anyway and i couldnt even get psxeven to boot the game it just froze

Can you verify that the game works on a real PSX?

If the game works than clean a cd and re-make the ISO image,
if the game is PAL you will need to get a PPF patch

ePSXe supports auto PPF loading but you can also use a program called ppf-o-matic
to patch the ISO image and you will be able to use it in any emu then.

After you are done use "Mooby2 cd disk image driver" cd plugin with "enable subchannels data" on.
