plugin is here.

however, your computer is, shall i say....lacking. Intel integrated graphics are less than stellar, actually they are probably less than that. i remember well the 82810 graphics, i spent quite a long time trying to get Vagrant Story running.

i'd recommend using peops software GPU for graphics and Eternal Lite for sound.

Do I use the same settings that you put on here??

I tried using peops software GPU but I wasn't getting a picture just a black screen and the music was playing fast. I fixed that problem but now tha picture looks weird. everything looks like little boxes.

I fixed the problem with the battle menu flickering but now I have a new problem.when the screen changes when you go from one area to another or when I go into a battle static shows up on the screen until the other one comes on. and during the battle the music slows down when I use magic or magic attacks (like dyne or sword magic). I wen't back to using pete's dx6 d3d driver 1.76 because that one works the best. Is there a pete's dx7 d3d driver?

like i said before, your graphics card sucks. don't expect much out of graphics. i had a hell of a time (in fact i couldnt do it) trying to get Vagrant story on an 82810 and 800mhz Celeron (i said this already, i am repeating it for emphasis).

update your graphics card drivers if you havent already. when i did that i got a small speed boost.

there is a DX7 D3D, it's just the standard D3D plugin.

and are you having these graphical glitches with D3D or the software plugin? because if it's with D3D....i'll just tell you to go to the software plugin. i don't like the D3D plugin much in the first place, but if you're going to use it, convert the settings i gave you for OGL into D3D (if you havent already).

The d3d seems to work fine but it slows down some. I managed to fix most of the problems just not the slowing down. the graphics are fine for the most part. its just when i use magic or when iload a game it runs slow. where can i get that other plugin DX7 D3D?

DX6 D3D, D3D, and OGL are packaged in the same zip folder, so if you have one, you should have them all.

i don't know how many times i can say the same thing over and over. this is going to be the very last time before i give up on you. so if you ever want to get help from me ever again, listen well to these words and understand them:

Intel Integrated graphics (this is what you have) are absolute and utter crap. the 82810 series (what you have specifically) is very old, and extremely crappy. you are getting slowdowns using a hardware plugin simply because the Intel plugin is a piece of crap, and it's not powerful enough. you could try lowering the resolution even more, but i would say just use a software plugin and let the processor do the work.

does that make sense? your graphics card is a piece of crap. that's just the way it is. stop using hardware plugins. either that or get a new graphics card. if you keep asking about D3D i'm just going to ignore you, because i don't really enjoy saying the same things over and over and over and over and over..........

pretty much anything will be better than that. you can spend 20 bucks on a PCI geforce2mx and it will run games better than the Intel.

however, given that you only have 256mb of PC133 RAM and a 1.3 ghz celeron (which might actually be a Tualatin, which ins't bad) i'd advise you to not go overboard on graphics. a geforce 6xxx won't really do you much better than a Geforce Ti because of the bottleneck you have on the other hardware.

On desktop go on PROPERTIES,SETTINGS,ADVANCED and there find your
graphic card and show me a screenshot of it so I can see.
And I recommend you to use Pete's OpenGL2 plugin driver 2.8.I had 8 mb in
graphic once so if you have less then that or more I recommend that you
configure Pete's OpenGL2 plugin like here on picture:

Pete's OpenGL2 won't work for him, he have integrated graphic card, all he can get with OGL2 are errors.

I managed to get Final Fantasy 9 run on a AMD K6-II+ (overclocked to 600mhz) and a GeForce 2 MX 100/200 (AGP) with 128mb of RAM with Pete's OpenGL plugin at, if I remember correctly, 1024x768, and I got great speeds and everything! So if I were you I'd get the GeForce 2. However, since you have one of those Dell Dimension Crap computers, it probably only has PCI, but they do make GeForce 2 PCI cards.

Just be careful you don't get ripped off. Some places (such as Staples) still sell these cards brand new, but they'll sell them for more than they are worth. Your best bet is to buy it online.

At home I have a K6-2, 350 Mhz, I can only Overclock it to 400 Mhz, further than that
pc restarts all the time, it have a GeForce2 MX and 160 Mb ram.
FF9 lags on that machine but you can play if you have patience, 2d games like metal slug works great on it.

Anyway yeah GeForce 2 would be a cheap way to get a video card which is good enough to play psx games on emulator.

Is it just a K6-II or a K6-II+? The K6-II+ is a mobile processor that required me to flash a modified BIOS onto the desktop motherboard I was using, else it wouldn't get at full speed.

Back on topic:

You might also want to try this Raven:
http://ngemu.com/psx/psxemu.php

Its a new emulator called pSX. It doesn't use the PSEmu Pro plugin system so it's easier to configure, and will probably run better on old hardware like what you are using. Alot of people seem to like it. Give it a shot!

Raven.Somewhere on google you can find Acer laptop for buy.His specs
are pretty good.....even MUCH MUCH better then good
It cost about 1200 dollars.....something like that....not sure for the price.
Anyway,here are his specs:
->1 GB of memory (you can upgrade to 2 GB if you want)
->graphic card Ati Mobility Radeon 9800 with 512 MB
(you cant change the graphic card in this laptop.It's not even necessary
lol.512 mb is very good)
->2.8 ghz or 3.0 ghz or more (depends on which Acer model you buy)
->2 MB L2 cache or 3 or even 4!(depends on Acer model you buy)
->direct X 9.0 c
->100 GB of free space on hard disc
->with this laptop you should also get 2 original cd's with "Windows XP Home",
original cd with "norton antivirus 2004" or even 2005 and of course you
should get an original system cd with which you can reinstall windows
on that laptop.
->It also has infra red and bluetooth!
->3 USB entries
->2 speakers of course(you can plug in your big stereo speakers if you want)
->on battery it works about 4 or 5 hours!
->it has wireless lan
->cd-rom of course(it has only cd-RW or only dvd-RW or both.[Depends on
Acer model you buy])
->in windows you should have service pack 2

Don't think the screen of this laptop is small.You can buy Acer with big and small screen.

Here is the picture of that laptop how he basically looks like:

i think i need to make a rule against unsolicited hardware advice.

this guy said he is buying a new GRAPHICS CARD and that's it. i really don't think he is gonna put down 1200 bucks for a new laptop. not only that, laptops are NOT good for gaming.

FURTHERMORE if he just wants to play PSX games, a Geforce2MX will suffice. i am running a gf2mx in this rig (P3 1ghz) and it runs PSX games just fine.

STARS, this is a warning. think before you make a post. i've seen you get out of hand lately, so now i am warning you. this guy can't use OGL2 as has been pointed out by Shendo and myself. i doubt he wants to spend $1200. do you have that kind of money waiting to be spent? i don't. if you're going to suggest something, think about it and make a good suggestion, such as what Master Chief said (with his pSX suggestion).

this isn't your first warning by the way. since your first warning is about 6 months old, you escaped the temp ban. but keep in mind, i'm watching you.
