Suikoden Graphics Oddity
For some reason, when I walk through locations (like the town in the beginning) there is a weird blurry line that moves across the screen. This problem is also discussed in this thread here.
Note: This is not a Vsync or tearing issue. I don't have any Vsync problems normally (Vsync is on, problem persists when Vsync is off) and the lines are vertical lines moving from left ro the right of the screen (unlike tearing, which are horizontal lines moving up and down the screen). Seems like a texture filtering issue but Texture filtering 0 or 4 doesn't fix it. My Specs: AMD Sempron 2400+ 512 DDR Ram Radeon 9600 Pro Windows XP SP2 Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.8 Author: Pete Bernert Card vendor: ATI Technologies Inc. *sigh* Sorry, folks...I just found the solution.
I thought I tried every available setting in Pete's plugin...but I didn't change the resolution :] This texture filtering problem is very noticeable in 640*480...kind of noticeable in 800*600...but almost nonexistant in 1024*768 or higher. Well, at least maybe this will be useful to somebody in the future :] |
