FF8 problem

this may not be related to the emulator, but im just after the point when the garden starts flying, im on the garden deck, and the door wont open ive been walking around the deck for over an hour and i still havent been able to get out

yeahhh it's a common problem, there are a lot of threads on this....just press X a million times and try to find the right spot, it's ridiculous, i know.
