How the hell do I get cheats enabled in FFVII?
Ok, I have PEC version 2.0.0.2 and I entered manually the game Final Fantasy VII and put in a bunch of cheats usign gameshark codes from gameshark.com. After I input all of the codes, I went to File and selected Export codes to ePSXe. Then I put the .cht file into the cheats folder. I opened ePSXe and loaded my Savestate...nothing. Can someone please tell me what I did wrong?

Ramza, as you can see from his first four words ("ok, i have PEC") that he has the PSX Emulation Cheater.
krunkjuice101, you need to load off a memory card, a save state won't work. it works the same when you are unloading the codes as well. |

save states works with gameshark sometimes (that is on some games, not just FFVII). not sure this problem was it, but when I ACTUALLY play my FFVII on my REAL playstation, gameshark would only work with the first part of the game (that is all the way to you get to the slums?) then gamshark would state that the file is corrupted when I try anytime outside of that.

yeah I got it working fine. I was using a very old version of PEC I guess... I don't know what you guys are saying about the codes not working much... They all work very easily for me. Now I just wish there was a way for someone with a good copy of FF7 disk 1 to do this for me... I need to get past this one point in Cosmo Canyon where it just freezes. If I could send my save state to someone to do it for me really quick it would be nice though...(is that even allowed here idk)

I'am at you gun point dude...
ok i think i'm late enough to post reply your msg but i got a better solution for you. First of all try getting some cheat code on the net and put it in to the [pec] cheater. If this don't work try again and again find the better code. If it don't work check your [pec] version, if it was old download a new one. If the this S*** won't overcome your problem... well make your own cheat code... [pec] 2.5 have the ability to find a code for you but you need a better understanding and luck to get one... Like myself i never use any of cheat code from the net but instead i make all my game cheat code by myself
