Final Fantasy IX game freeze

I'm on disc 4 and the game freezes in a cut scene after Zidane decides to go back for Kuja, and when the Lifa Tree is going crazy the game freezes, any help will be appreciated! It always freezes at that point.

and if that doesn't work, turn of mdec filters and similar luxuries...
