ff7 periodic lag

while i play final fantasy vii, periodically the fps goes down to below 10 for a couple of seconds, it is really annoying

Please specify the problem.
Latancy can be produced from:

-Power saving features from your lappy;
-Constant reads from the CD-ROM drive, if applicable;

I suggest setting OD, FE, and FU to 2,0,2.

well i am using a laptop but there are is no cd in my drive

and i set od fe and fu to 2,0,2 but it still happens

is it after a certain amount of time guarenteed, or is it in certain locations, say when there is a lot no the screen.

remember this is emulation so you cant expect it to be 100% speed all the time.

and 10fps drop from 50 or 60 isnt a great deal, not enough to damage playability

maybr you should try other plugins like D3D or OGL only

His lappy isn't a lousy one :/
Unless you are using Intel Integrated Graphics, or a older chipset, use those plugins.

rofl u might laugh, but the reason it was lagging was because i used alt + f4 to close epsxe, and it didnt close properly, so when i looked in processes in task manager there were 6 epsxe.exe one, once i closed them all it started to work fine... sorry about the trounble
