wierd control problem in duke ttk
ok ive decided to just play from my cd as i cant seem to get any iso programs to work with it, but ive run into a wierd issue that seems to be stemming from the game, not the controller im using. i currently am using a nyko airflo controller and with every game i play on my pc, it works fine, even with my other isos ripped from my cds on epsxe, but with duke time to kill, it works to a point, but for some reason, the "down" button isnt working when i use it, meaning, i cant back up, every other button does what its supposed to. ive tried configuring the down button to be on the d-pad, as well as with the analog stick, and nothing works. this button works fine with every other game i have, so i dont think its the controller acting up. has anyone ever had this problem or know of a way to fix it?

I was wondering whether can you use the keyboard to press down?
I was thinking the area could be unpassable, and it has nothing to do with ePSXe configuration problems.

yeah dude thanks for the idea that actually worked. although its a little odd using my gamepad and keyboard at the same time, especially when the directional buttons are divided onto two different input devices lol. oh well better than not being able to step backwards, almost a must in a game like duke.
edit:btw, i made an iso of twisted metal 4 today and i noticed this same exact problem popped up. wierd, as this is the second game ive had this happen, but this doesnt occur in any other games i have, epsxe or let alone any other game i have on my pc that i use this gamepad with. i dunno if its some compatbility issue with the pad and game or what but it is definetly a strange one. no worrys though as i did the same thing i did with duke here to correct the problem. to a point atleast. anyway thanks again for the idea fireblaster lyz Last edited by jonc2006; May 16th, 2006 at 02:49. |
