R4 Slowdown

Okay I just recently reinstalled ePSXe and R4(ridge racer 4) and I noticed that when the mirror comes down durning the races in cockpit view the game seems to slow down even tho the framrate stays constant, now this dosent happen when you choose the behind the car view(which is impossible to play for me). Is anyone else havin this problem?


Also just to not make another thread. In Rage Racer teh audio( the actual in race music) dosent play. Now Ive tried copying it with both Alcohol to produce teh bin/cue and the PSX iso reproducer. I still havent been able to get the sound to work properly.

Ridge Racer 4 does have in game audio in fact all teh audio works. Im asking about Rage Racer.

the speed - it's a common problem. It doesn't happen with me in the latest version of ePSXe though with R4 (but it does with Rage Racer). If you use Pete's OGL1, in special fixes you can select "PC fps calculation" which will fix speed issues, but with R4 it will mess up the music. As for rage racer; it uses cd audio. Make sure it's turned on in ePSXe and also in your regular windows volume control.

I see what you mean about the music. but even with the change of plugin it still has the same problem. yes I did select teh PC fps calc.

it's strange if it still won't work...
