Sorry if this game has been posted before; I couln't find it in search.
Anyway, the game freezes during the intro sequence after you start a new game. I'm using epsxe 1.6.0, video: Pete's v1.76, audio: Eternal SPU 1.41, bios: SCPH1001, and the 'nice' settings. I've been trying different plugins and configs but the result's the same.
I really hope there's a way to get it to work...

what about different emulators? like ePSXe 1.5.2, PSXeven, SSSPSX, PCSX, etc.

are you playing off CD or ISO? if one, then try the other.
