need info on creating isos from my cds

hi i need some infomation or guidence or how to use isobuster(or any iso maker) to make a iso of some of my games so i dont have to have the cds on hand to play them when i want to. im not talking about dwnloading them or using warez and whatnot, i already own the game so i have no intrest in getting them illegally cus i dont like piracy either, im just talking about extracting the data from my own collection so i dont have to carry the cd with me all the time(im using a laptop)

if i do this, is there a possiblility that it might damage my cd, and when you extract the data, does it compleatly remove it from the cd and make the cd unuseable or will it just copy that data? right now im trying to make an iso of silent hill and when i loaded up iso buster, on the right side of the program im seeing 4 files, two of them i can tell are for the game becasue they are labled silent hill and they are rather big in size, the other 2 are probably for the gametoo but i dont know what to do with them. what do i do next? will isobuster compact all this data into one file once its done or will it leave me with 4 different filess? i just dont know what to do in iso buster, so far, i have gotten the thing to recognize my game in the cd drive but now what? can someone give me a good walkthrough on how to create an iso?

Click here, search more next time.
To answer your other question, the tools will just copy the data and won't spoil the discs.

This is how I make my ISO files:

Get ISO Producer from here:

http://www.aldostools.com/isoproducer.html

Get Pete's CDR Plugin from here:

http://www.pbernert.com/html/cdr.htm

Put them in the same directory, run ISO Producer, configure it first, then rip your chosen PSX disk. Free, fast, and less than 150KB download.

---

And as Kellicros said, you have nothing to worry about when it comes to the contents of the disk.

thanks guys, sry bout the search thing, i just didnt want to have to search through all the threads about illegal iso making considering how many there are here. anyway, about the iso thing, would it be the same quality as playing from a cd, as of now, my cds have no probs running on epsxe, so if i make an iso of the game, will it still run good and would using a certian iso maker effect the game, like is one iso maker better than the other?

As long as you make a perfect copy, there will be no problems. And it'll run better than from the CD, as your PC won't have to actually move anything to run an ISO file (whereas it'll have to spin the CD to load from it).

And BTW, if you're using my technique with making ISOs, here is my configuration for ISO Producer. It makes perfect copies (as far as I'm concerned).

I know how you feel. Making ISOs has surely saved my back a couple of times.

ok so ive made several isos from some of my cds using isobuster and so far they work great but there are a few isobuster wont finish, the program keeps stopping about halfway through copying saying some error message, i cant get breath of fire III & IV, alundra II and duke nukem time to kill to finish. would trying them with a different iso maker like cd clone or alcohol 120 make a difference? all of the games work fine when i run them via cd with epsxe and they are all legal copies,i bought when they came out so i dunno why isobuster isnt working with them, any ideas?
