Lunar Issues...

Well, I just got the game and i'm already having some issues.

#1. The FMVs don't fill the entire screen. There is a black bar about 100 pixels in size to the left whenever an FMV's playing.

#2. Whenever I change areas, there's always some sort of delay. I try to get off the screen, a brief flicker, and the current screen freezes for one second with the new area's music playing smoothly in the background. After a second, the screen updates.

I searched the forums but found nothing. I'm using Epsxe 1.5.2 and an image file of Lunar.

Try updating to the latest Pete's OGL2 2.8 plugin.
Try turning flicker-fix border size to 1.

That movie problem is completely normal for that game. It cannot be fixed, that is a resolution the PSX used to display the original movie at decent quality on a television. When emulated, it will ALWAYS look like that on a PC monitor.

I've tried all of Pete's Plugins... It's the same wherever I go. And somehow, I don't think that area change problem is is suppose to be there.

Thanks for explaining that FMV issue btw.

AFAIK, there is also no fix for the 'flicker & pause' when the screen changes, under any current video plugin. If you want to play this game 'normally', aside from the unfixable FMV problem, use Connectix Virtual Game Station, it runs alot of PSX games very well.

No need to switch to cvgs, i found what you were doing wrong:
switch to psxeven but make sure to turn OFF the lunar special fix in your graphic plugin.
That fix is for epsxe only.
