"Cannot Find Matching Game ID"
Hello all! I'm new around here. I was looking around on the forums and google for this problem but to no avail. There's alot of confusing things to read about, so before I completly do something awful, I'm going to post and simply ask, so I hope you don't mind!
This is my first attempt at using this fine emulator. The game I'll be experimenting with today is the legendary Metal Gear Solid. (Oh, before I ramble on, I also looked on the ePSXe compatibility but I don't think MGS was in there, so I'm hoping the game works, maybe I didn't browse hard enough.) It's lunch break at school and I happen to have the game CD, and I plopped it into the disk drive, and I get that error "C. F. M. G. ID" There's probably all sorts of reasons for the error, but I'm a little clueless with these things. Is the game not compatible with the emulator? I also saw it's a hot idea to post the computer specs as well Well it's a campus type of computer.Windows XP 512 MB RAM Intel Pentium Processor III Video card? S3 Graphics Inc. Savage4 Alright, feel free to classify me as "newbie," "noob," "nub," "dirty mongrel," or whatever ya want, but can I get a hand? Or, do you need further information about the 'puter? Honestly, I don't know what to post. Thanks in advance. |

yuck, that rig sucks. and i googled that error and i couldnt find it. do your school's computers have some sort of protection? also, IIRC you need the admininstrative rights to use ePSXe and such.
you can try Peops software GPU (nice preset, resolution at 640x480), eternal lite SPU (MGS fix on) and Xeven's CDR plugin--no guarantees though. |
