cant run starocean 2

which isnt to say i can run any ps game on my computer as this is the first one ive tryed, and only one i will be able to for a while because my collection is in kentucky and im in florida with not but my starocean 2 iso

the closest ive gotten to making it work is with AdriILE and that locks up at the very begining when he goes "oh well i guess i should look around" having been beamed away from his party, com unit no longer working

i havnt been able to make it work with any other emulator at all.

so if anyone feels like walking me through making it work that would be awsome because i dont really know what im doing so please keep it simple or explain in painful detail.

thanks

What version of Epsxe are you using?
What are your system specs?
Could you post your plugin configuration? Use the "Copy Settings to clipboard" feature. Just paste it in here.

Are you getting anything with EPSXE?
What does it say in the command window? This will probably tell us where the problem is. The command window is the black DOS-like window that opens with EPSXE.

been here?

could be a messed up ISO. and if you made it wrong and your real game is elsewhere, you're SOL.

yea maybe its just a screwed up iso, i doubt i messed up because ive made many isos for other things unless you have to do somethng unusual for these, if anyone feels like getting a half gig transfer from me and trying my iso thatd be great... unless i can actually find somewhere where i can buy this game around here to get a new copy

actually it's illegal for you to transfer your ISO anywhere. in fact, it's illegal for you to have that ISO and not have the original game anywhere in your possession, so that's not really an option.

unfortunately, that is a very likely bottleneck. and without that, i really cant help you. that's like trying to figure out why your car wont run....you can replace every single part of the entire engine, but without gasoline, it just wont go. same here--you can tweak every setting imaginable, but if the game itself is dead, then you're pretty much SOL.

anyway, the best i can do for you is to point you to the troubleshooting thread that i linked to in my previous post. good luck.
